How to use InPaint
- Open any image you’ve generated
- Click InPaint
- Paint over the area you want to change — use a brush size that covers the region cleanly
- Write a prompt describing what you want in that area
- Click Generate — only the masked region is redrawn
Tips
- Keep the InPaint prompt focused on the selected area only — describing the full image confuses the output
- Use a slightly larger mask than the area you want to change — tight masks produce hard edges
- If the result doesn’t blend well, run InPaint again with a larger mask that overlaps the surrounding area
- InPaint works on any generated image regardless of which model produced it
Common issues
The redrawn area doesn't match the rest of the image
The redrawn area doesn't match the rest of the image
The mask edge is too tight. Expand the mask to overlap slightly with the surrounding area and regenerate.
